University of North Georgia “What comes next”
Background:
Like many colleges & universities across the United States, the University of North Georgia suffered from declining applications, despite offering everything from a traditional, 4-year experience to associate’s degrees to professional certifications. So, they made a change, hiring a new president who’s single goal was to revitalize the senior military college with a firm student-first approach.
The Ask:
A new tagline that was as bold as the new President’s mission to “create a university that’s never existed.”
Insight:
The value of higher education isn’t a degree—it’s gaining wisdom and developing the ability to see and solve beyond the question at hand.
Strategy:
Position UNG as a place you go to develop the skills and confidence to chart your course and meet any challenges along the way.
Output:
“What Comes Next”–a tagline that fits UNG’s students as much as it does the university itself. It can serve as a question, a statement of purpose, or even a challenge. But no matter what, it always serves as a firm reminder that UNG exists to answer that question for its students and community while constantly asking itself: what does come next?
